Separate observed entries from guesses.\u201d These placeholders are examples, not account results or financial recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How fresh is the connected data?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Initial Plaid sync usually finishes in minutes (rarely hours); later updates are automatic, with last-sync time shown but no fixed interval. <a href=\"https:\/\/help.openai.com\/en\/articles\/20001222-finances-in-chatgpt\">OpenAI\u2019s account-sync guidance<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ChatGPT\u2019s connected credit score and report update monthly. Experian stops sending reports\/scores to ChatGPT; OpenAI deletes copies from its systems within 30 days. Changing it does not delete existing conversations. <a href=\"https:\/\/help.openai.com\/en\/articles\/7730893-data-controls-in-chatgpt\">OpenAI Data Controls<\/a><\/td><\/tr>\n<tr><td><strong>Temporary Chat<\/strong><\/td><td>In the Finances context, Temporary Chat will not access connected financial accounts or use or create memories for personalization. General Temporary Chat has a separate mode choice: \u201cPersonalized\u201d can use existing memories, custom instructions, and plugins; \u201cUnpersonalized\u201d uses none. Temporary chats are not used to improve models while temporary and may be retained up to 30 days for safety. The general <a href=\"https:\/\/help.openai.com\/en\/articles\/8983778-chat-and-file-retention-in-chatgpt\">chat-retention page<\/a> describes exceptions for de-identified\/disassociated content or longer retention for security or legal obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ask for the source date in the answer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you connect, make the relevant date part of the question: \u201cSummarize spending through the latest date shown in this connected account. State that date and flag any gap before it.\u201d For a credit-report question, ask: \u201cWhich report date and lender-reported information are you using? Do not treat them as current balances.\u201d These are synthetic prompts, not results from a live account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Connected data is informational: Finances cannot move money, pay bills, trade, or file taxes. <a href=\"https:\/\/help.openai.com\/en\/articles\/20001222-finances-in-chatgpt\">OpenAI Finances guidance<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you prefer not to connect, you can ask a general question using a summary you prepare yourself. Avoid sharing identifiers you do not need.
